VISAS AND PERMITS
To study in New Zealand for more than three months you will require a student visa. Full details of visa and permit requirements, advice on rights to employment in New Zealand while studying, and reporting requirements are available thorugh the New Zealand Immigration SErvice, and can be viewed on their website at http://www.immigration.govt.nz.
The Campbell Institute can help you to get a student visa or you can use an education agent in your country to arrange it for you for a fee. We can recommend good, experienced agents in most countries if you contact us.
Note: A student or tourist VISA allows you to enter New Zealand.
A student PERMIT allows you to study while you are here.
Applying for a student visa
Visitor's Visa and Permit requirements are found in the Application for Visiting New Zealand form which can be downloaded from the NZIS website (click here). Unless you are from a visa-free country, you must apply for a student visa after you have been accepted into a school, and before you come to New Zealand.
For more information in English on travel to New Zealand go to the New Zealand Immigration Service website, or contact The Campbell Institute with your question.
