CAMPBELL APPROVED FOR CELTA

Cambridge University Emblem

The Campbell Institute has been approved by Cambridge University to deliver the Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). The Campbell Institute now becomes the only centre in Wellington delivering this prestigious course.

This is the world's most recognised English teaching qualification, and is used by most English language schools around the world as the required qualification to be an ESOL teacher. The certificate is a one-month intensive programme, and the candidates are externally examined by a Cambridge examiner, helping to ensure international standards are maintained.

The approval process is very rigorous and extensive. One of the major factors in Cambridge granting approval is the fact that Jo Leach, our Director of Studies, has been involved in delivering the CELTA for many years. So a big congratulations to Jo for her hard work in this area.

The first course will run in January 2011, and is limited to 12 candidates.
