My Time in New Zealand
Kia Ora –or hello!
I am Victoria from Hannover, Germany. After I finished my A-Levels this year I decided to see the world and I chose New Zealand, because I guess it is the country with the biggest distance to Germany. Moreover, I saw the beautiful overwhelming pictures and documentaries about the landscape, the Maori culture and the endless friendliness of the people. That sounded good and I wanted to experience all of that on my own.

I chose the Demi-Pair Programme in Wellington to combine working and living with a family and with studying English at school. At the moment I am preparing for my CAE exam at The Campbell Institute, which I will take after twelve weeks.
Besides that I am experiencing all the things I heard about, the markets offer lovely fruits, everybody is willing to help me when I am lost again and we asked a man at the car rental center, if we could rent a car, he said:” I am sorry, we have no car left… but you can take my van if you like!”
It is amazing and I will never regret my choice leaving Germany for ten months. On top of that, I am sure that I will come back at least to learn how to fall in love with marmite.
All that can not be described – you have to experience it!
