KIWI LANGUAGE HOLIDAY

YOUR ENGLISH ADVENTURE PROGRAMME AROUND NEW ZEALAND

The Campbell Institute and a New Zealand-based travel agency NZ DIRECT are now offering study and travel programmes for international high school-aged students.

There are two options available of 4 or 6 weeks duration. Both programmes are designed to coincide with the Northern Hemisphere summer holiday break.

As well as an amazing travel experience both packages include:

  • Language course according to English proficiency level
  • Abitur - Preparation course (optional for German students) with Textbook "Cornelsen Abitur - Prüfungstrainer"
  • Homestay Accommodation during language course
  • North and South Island round trip
  • Sightseeing activities: Huka Falls in Taupo, Wai-o-tapu Valley, Sky Tower visit in Auckland
  • Ferry trip from Picton to Wellington

Entry Criteria
Age: 14+ at commencement of course
English: Any
Previous Study: Any previous High School study

Programme Structure and Content

Duration: 4 - 6 weeks (or 3 weeks for groups)
Reading and Writing 15 hours per week
Listening and Speaking 8 hours per week
Conversation Class 1 hour per week
Workshop (1 - 1 tutoring) twice weekly
Optional Abitur preparation (German students) 8 hours per week

After completing the course you will be able to:
  • Hold a conversation in English with your teacher
  • Listen and respond to natural Kiwi speech
  • Read general tets and express a personal viewpoint in both oral and written forms
  • Hold a conversation about your own life and country and cultural differences you have noticed in New Zealand
  • Go shopping, banking, order a meal in a restaurant, use public transport, use the public library, visit the Doctor, go to the cinema and other day-to-day activities.
